About

Modern art refers to artistic works produced in the period from the 1860s to the 1970s, characterized by a break with tradition and the use of new forms, materials, and techniques. This period saw the development of various movements such as Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Cubism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism, which have had a profound impact on the art world and continue to be influential to this day. Modern art challenges traditional notions of beauty and seeks to express the inner emotions and experiences of the artist, often using abstract and non-representational forms. It is a vibrant and dynamic field that continues to evolve and inspire new generations of artists and art lovers.
